Crazy...

The intro was very interesting, it is what got my attention and held it all the way through and that gnarly acid synth just gave me major goosebumps, I never heard such a synth sound quite like that. Your snares were quite good. I'm speechless.

Check out my stuff sometime, maybe you can give a guy a few tips.

cornandbeans responds:

haha thanks man. :)

I had to layer the snares about 6 times, so they better be good! lol

The synth, fyi, is called a reese. I used a bit of LFO and automation on the band pass... so that's probably why it sounds so different. ;)

thanks for the review!

Hey

The retro introduction was cool, then the violins, that was a great idea. Then 3..2..1, wow. Jazzy cafe.. I do not have much constructive criticism, because the song is quite good and your transitions were interesting. But the song didn't have a straight forward theme, it was all over the place, it was like Techno to Jazz then Drum n Bass. the name fits well. "Ascention"

check out my stuff sometime.

woa...

Very good choice of bass, everything is aranged quite well. Really cool stuff. The break in the middle was good.

This song has a Western feel to it.

I dont know what to say, not much wrong with this piece. I think you may have too much bass, but it gave quite a good feel. What was the voice?

Thattixx responds:

I'm glad you liked it! I actually could of narrowed down the bass a bit, but I think it's pretty cool. The voice was from fruity loop speech synth, like robotroid or something.

Hard and Fast

The description says it all "Hard and Fast".
The start was very intense, actually the whole song was intense. I really liked the start but in the middle of the song I got lost with all the voices. try to work on your mechanics.

Rough Stuff.

Melody

Very interesting. Your melody was really good and diverse. Everything was perfect except for the clarity of the song, the piano may have been clipping a bit.

Kid2Will responds:

hmm, havnt noticed, maybe i just got used to it after replaying and adjusting so many times, it starts to crackle because of my cruddy computer. anyway thanks for your review.

Effects

The effects seemed a bit messy. Put a few more drums in there and it might sound better.

SolusLunes responds:

Kay, that's a good point. Drums then. :D

Wow... Nice name for a song..

Impressive stuff.

The bass at the start was most interesting.

Erectronik responds:

Yea, the bass in the song is pretty much the signature motif of the song, according to other non NG audiences

nice

Nice sounds.. Your introduction was interesting, but when you were singing I heard your voice cut and become quiet, maybe you were dancing and singing at the same time.

"... I just wanted a slurpee" lmao.

kaymation responds:

hey thanx,i was holding my mic thats why it happende

Drool.........

oh my gosh, very nice.. I really enjoyed this. Great work.

Chillax..

Where is the kick?

Kick as is in bass? if so where is the kick?

The so called "kick" comes in half way into the song after the huge intro, huge as in long.. But the intro was very cool.

nyiddle responds:

Does thee listen to gabber?
Build-up before the actual kicks come in can take REALLY long. A few songs that I know of don't even have a kick, so it's really just useless.
